Current job profile and responsibility
He has been working as full-time capacity in the Intensive Care Unit, which provides tertiary level Critical Care services having 44 ICU beds catering to Gastroenterology, GI surgery, trauma, multiorgan transplant plus also cover 24 HDU beds.
His team has experience of over 1400 liver transplant patients till date.
He is proficient in all the ICU related procedures. Besides this he routinely performs tracheotomies, minicrashes, bronchoscopies, ultrasound guided procedures like pigtail catheter insertions for drainage of collections, abscesses, and percutaneous cholecystectomies.
He is well versed in bedside ECHO, IABP insertion and monitoring, insertion of temporary pacemakers. Besides this he initiates and monitors CRRT and other adjuvant extracorporeal therapies including MARS.
He is a teacher for Fellowship of National Board (FNB), Indian Diploma in Critical Care Medicine (IDCCM) and Indian Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine (IFCCM) and examiner for IDCCM.
He is involved in daily teaching programs for the fellows and residents besides teaching during rounds.
He is a certified trainer for WINFOCUS point of care ultrasound basic, advanced level and lung ultrasound. He had been the course director for workshops all over India and faculty for international workshops.
