Dr. Shima Ghedia (AUS)
MBBS (USyd) FACEM staff specialist, Emergency Physician
Shima Ghedia is a Sydney-based Emergency Physician who works at a number of Emergency Departments both public and private. Her interest in Emergency medicine started as a child when she would accompany her GP father as he attended patients in the tiny district country hospital in Leeton, in rural NSW.
She attended Sydney University Medical School, and did early training not only in Sydney, but in the UK. Despite the added challenge of raising two young children during her training, she passed her ACEM Fellowship exam ten years ago.
She is currently Co-Director of Emergency Medicine Training at Concord Repatriation General Hospital. She has a wide range of interests – most of which revolve around the practice of Emergency Medicine in different countries and climes.
