Toxic Issues in the ED

Toxicology is part and parcel of emergency medicine. Every treating emergency physician should have a broad knowledge on toxicology as it is a frequent presentation encountered in ED. Toxicology is a major challenge in worldwide but the presentation will be different according to the developing state of the country and available poisoning. Countries like Sri Lanka face agricultural related poisoning as it is freely available. Identifying and managing the poisoned victim is the crucial role of the first contact provider. Systematic approach is important.Toxicology workshop will provide you the core knowledge on common poisoning of this region and how to approach them systematically.
